Above and Beyond CDL Driving Academy, LLC is registered as an ELDT provider with the FMCSA, licensed with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, and is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.
Our focus at Above and Beyond CDL Driving Academy is to train our students for a career in the truck driving industry with a focus on safety, not just to get their license. We accomplish this by getting our students into real driving situations by going into downtown Mpls/St Paul during rush hour traffic, driving on different types of road terrains and teaching many of the driving/non driving skills needed to become a successful driver in the industry. We don’t just drive within a 5 mile radius of our campus! You will see that with us, we go well Above and Beyond the bare minimum!
We train on a variety of equipment. Our fleet consists of conventional sleeper cab tractors and conventional day cab tractors in manual and automatic transmissions. We also use different styles of trailers to give our students a realistic view of the vehicles they will need to drive in their new careers.
We teach the most current and up-to-date curriculum. Our program will satisfy all Entry Level Driver Training requirements mandated to all CDL schools. Our students will go above and beyond the minimal requirements to obtain a CDL and learn how to:
- Install tire chains
- Scale-out a load to weight requirements
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Determine costs for billing
- Plan trips using different tools to achieve cost savings
